Saul Hillman has been practising for 14 years as an integrative psychotherapist using counselling, hypnotherapy and life coaching. He has been involved for his adult life in psychology and has spent many years studying, researching and teaching psychology. His academic qualifications include a PhD in Child Psychology along with a BSc and MSc in Psychology. His therapeutic qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling, Certificates in Counselling, Practitioner Diploma in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP), training in life coaching, Diploma in Sports NLP and a practitioner certificate in Thought Field Therapy (TFT).
He has also recently trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Saul is a registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) and Association of Neuro-linguistic programming (ANLP). Saul has had referrals from a number of organisations and charities, including Anxiety UK, Grief Encounter, Kids Company, B-EAT (for eating disorders), Sure Start, GP surgeries, and Universities. Saul’s approach is integrative meaning he works across a number of different therapies and tailors his approach to who he works with.
With some problems, the work is briefer and short-term and may not require as many sessions, whilst other problems may require more sessions. His expertise and knowledge cover a wider range of psychological issues including anxiety, phobias, stress, depression, low motivation, low self-esteem/confidence, eating disorders, weight loss, smoking, drinking, drugs and other addictions.
He also works with physical problems and can help with relaxation, pain control and sleep, amongst a number of other conditions. Saul has speciality training in sport and performance where he uses both hypnosis and NLP to help maximise how athletes can improve their performance in their respective sports.
